Most people will agree that dessert is the perfect way to end a delicious meal, and each person has a favorite dessert! After all, there are countless dessert recipes around the world, but the recipes we have for you today are unique and have a surprising ingredient: Pasta!

Although the idea of pasta in dessert might seem a little odd, the recipes we have gathered for you in this article utilize pasta in a different way that will change the way you look at pasta!

Vermicelli with Honey and Cinnamon:

Vermicelli has a crunchy and delicate texture, which makes it a very versatile pasta shape that can be used in dessert and savory recipes alike!

To make this delicious crunchy dessert, you will need the following ingredients: 

  • 1 pack Perfetto Vermicelli pasta
  • A pinch of salt
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • ¼ C honey
  • ½ orange zest, or 2 tbsp orange marmalade
  • Ground pistachios
  • Cinnamon powder

Preparation method: 

  • Cook Perfetto Vermicelli pasta according to pack instructions.
  • In a small bowl, mix honey with orange zest and 2 tbsp of boiling water.
  • In a medium pan over high heat, place the vegetable oil and allow the temperature to rise without burning it. Using a fork, roll the Vermicelli strands into nests and fry until golden on each side. Place the fried Vermicelli nests on a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Plate the Vermicelli nests in a serving plate and top with honey and orange zest mixture. Dust with cinnamon powder.
  • Garnish with ground pistachios and serve.

Fried Cannelloni with Ricotta Cheese: 

You might think that fried Cannelloni is not common, but it has been a popular Italian dessert for many years! We promise that it will become a favorite in your house as well.

To prepare fried Cannelloni, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pack Perfetto Cannelloni
  • 1 C Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 tsp ground dark chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp orange peel marmalade
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • For garnishing, you have multiple choices such as ground pistachios, cocoa powder or chopped chocolate.

Preparation method:

  • Cook Perfetto Cannelloni pasta according to pack instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the Ricotta cheese with sugar, ground chocolate, orange peel marmalade and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Mix until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until later use.
  • In a pan over high heat, cover 3 cm of the pan with vegetable oil. Heat.
  • Once the oil reaches a high temperature, fry the Cannelloni until golden and crispy, for 2 minutes. Place the fried Cannelloni on a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat this step with the remaining Cannelloni pieces.
  • Allow the fried Cannelloni to cool down and reach room temperature, then roll in sugar. Using a piping bag, fill the fried Cannelloni with Ricotta mixture.
  • Garnish with ground pistachios, cocoa powder or chopped chocolate. Serve.

Baked Fettuccini with Caramelized Walnuts: 

This is a recipe that is guaranteed to please both pasta lovers and those with a sweet tooth!

To prepare this delicious and easy recipe, you will need the following 

  • 1 pack Perfetto Fettuccini
  • ½ C peeled walnuts
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 ¼ C powder sugar, more for garnishing
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ C cream
  • 2 egg whites
  • ¼ sugar
  • Butter, to butter the pan

Preparation method: 

  • Cook Perfetto Fettuccini according to pack instructions.
  • Toast the walnuts in a pan over medium heat. Avoid over toasting the walnuts. Add the powder sugar and toast until caramelized.
  • Mix the cooked Fettuccini with the caramelized walnuts.
  • Mix the egg yolks with vanilla extract until foamy. Add the cream and mix well. Add this mixture to the cooked Fettuccini and caramelized walnuts.
  • Mix egg whites with sugar until peaks form. Mix with the previous ingredients.
  • Place the mixture in an oiled baking dish.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and dust with powder sugar. Serve hot.
